Especially when use customise one its numerous templates as i did. I particularly found it fantastic when it fantastic when i tried to further customise it with php script and it worked like magic.

Maybe I'm missing something. I made what looked like a good menu, got the code, pasted it in my project in FrontPage and couldn't see it either in the building section or the preview. Gave up after a while. I may try again if I can't find anything else.

As far as I can appreciate, Sothink Free DHTML Menu Builder is not compatible with NetObject Fusion 11.
Sad if I am right, but if I'm wrong please let me know where I can find the necessary information.

Download went very well and I like the easy user interface. What is not very clear to me is how the results of creating a menu are then cascaded into the master style sheets of Expression Web. I plan to spend more time with the tool in the upcoming weeks. The price seems fair if it turns out to be an easy tool to use for creating Expression Web menus.

Because I am a novice to CSS and the new web development techniques, it would be very helpful if there were instructions for some of the basics.

I have found that most tools assume you are an expert and that you use Dreamweaver. However, for those of us without big budgets who evolved from FrontPage, there is very little help available.

The trial is a great idea and I am sure I will learn a lot by spending time with this well designed tool.

I used this download as an integration with Dreamweaver and have to admit that I am very impressed with how simple it is and how professional it can look. You don't even have to read any instructions to get it going, it's that easy!
Check it out at where I used it for all 3 navigation menus.

WOW! Super software! I love it!

Folks you put together a wonderful little app! I sat down this morning and redid my website and just finished. The software was a breeze to learn and is very intuitive.
I searched google and found you! I used frames because I like to keep the navigation buttons present. I needed to stop using frames for my SEO. Well my 'floating menu solved that!

Please check out what I did with my site and navigation bar:

Many Thanks!

Sothink DHTML Menu Builder free VERSION

This program is awesome, it does everything I expected it to do, and more. I rate it a 10/10. The thing I don't care for is the interface though, I find it's a little hard to get use to. One question I have, does it work of vista? I imagine it would.

I`m enjoying it

Things got off to a bit of a rough start but after about a half hour I was moving along at a good clip. Once I got the hang of it I found this program to be really very enjoyable and not all that difficult to use despite some newbie misunderstandings.

DHTML Menu Free Version

I have used this before and I had to recently re-download it. The software is very good, reasonably intuitive and does what I want it to do. It can create menus for FrontPage. There are lots of design options and it is easy to use. I visited the site to see what other products they had, and I'm about to buy a package from them. Meanwhile, I downloaded another free product called DVDMoviemaker 1.0 which can get avi files and burn them onto DVD as a DVD that plays in a standard set-top box. Quality software. Highly recommended.

I tried it out - a bit hesitant of what it would do for me and came up with a wonderfully centralised menu system for a bunch of inter-related web-sites. Nice stuff - would love to see a multi-lingual version that also allows for multi-lingual menus!

My drop down menu nightmare

I am very new to building websites. In fact, I have never build a website before. My employer wanted me to build a site for our company and one thing he was very adamant about is having drop down menus. I spent many hours searching the web for a script (which I also knew nothing about). The ones I did find made absolutely no sense to me and I had no idea how to insert them into my page. Then I found Sothink DHTML Menu Builder. And within 10 minutes I had my drop down menu working beautifully! This program is wonderful and the templates cover just about every menu type you can ever want. Thank you so much for making my boss think I'm the best thing since sliced bread!

So far so good.

I had a chance to play with it for about 30 minutes - I found a couple of menus that I liked a lot. I also like the level of depth and control you have on the platform. I'm not very savvy so I'm sure I will have some issues to address, but at this time I'm very satisfied.

Using Sothink DHTML Menu Builder

A powerful and easy-to-use tool. Features easy to use and follow, even for someone non-technical such as me.
Quick to produce acceptable results. I'm sure I will further improve layout and appearance as I become more familiar with the tool.
Still not sure how to position the menu using the static setting, but float works fine and gives me what I need.

Great Builder!

This menu builder is very easy to use and has a ton of great features. It downloaded and installed efficiently and cleanly on a Dell running Windows XP. The code it creates tranfers easily to Dreamweaver and the results were exactly as expected. I would recommend to any beginning to intermediate web designer!

OK Program for making Menus.

This is an EXCELLENT program for the price, but in the end I found it was timely and not the best for efficiency.
I was very pleased when I found this, and at first found it very easy to customize my menu. However, I found it MUCH more difficult when I tried to change the colors and font type. I had to go through all of my pre-made links and individually change all of the setting [which, for my project I had quite a few].
What disappointed me the most was that I ended up not able to use it after my hours of labor put into it. Don't get me wrong- it published to the site with ease! However, I chose a menu that pops out to the left when you roll over it. I was also using frames. The two combined made the pop out menu look tacky and not right [it wasn't able to pop out all the way to the left so instead it started the pop out half way through the rolled over link. if that makes sense :)]
Overall, it is an excellent program for small projects, especially at its price. But I would HIGHLY recommend you try OpenCube Infinite Menus first, if you are looking for an easier solution. I have found MUCH more success and ease with them, all for the same price [Free!]

Good Luck :]

Good for me

The interface was pretty cool, I wound up hardcoding some colors because I didnt realize that I was able to change the menu item's background until I just toyed with it. Would be nicer if the child menu item would inherit the same colors as the mother's instead of having to change each one independently. If they're all going to be the same color like mine is then for speed and perfection it's best to do a find and replace in the code once you have the hex code of your color.

It would be great to be able to resize the menu to add small graphics for each top menu, example place a graphical forum button which would then lead to the forum links with the same color background as the main button.

It was really easy to add links and the tooltips are a nice feature so you can briefly describe the links. So the ease of use is excellent.

As for the price, which is free, it is a great value and allowed me to effortlessly make almost what I wanted, despite having to tweak it here and there.

Additional thoughts:
You really need to know at least basic HTML to get it looking just right with no off color mistakes. If you have to host the files off-site or in different directory like I did for drunkduck then you have to dip into the html and define them or you will get ugly boxes.

Works Great!

I tried several other similar applications, including demos of some fairly expense packages. Sothink worked just as well and was easier to use than the others. I am not a professional web designer, so this was a great solution for me to solve a problem I was having. I work within a template structure that is fairly restrictive so the ability to create menus saves a whole bunch of space on the screen.

Some of the other software I tried out produced really amateurish looking menus. While I would love to see even more templates with more sophisticated looks and feels, for the price, Sothink is terrific.

Easy to use

I was up and running with little ramp up time and no need to consult the help manual. I created functional menus that significantly simplified our site by compressing a long menu list to a short one with pop-up choices.

Great Program!

I am very impressed with this program especially it's functionality and meriods of different options. Especially it being free!
One thing I have noticed is that when one save an "Item Theme" and then later go and updated or make a change/edit the theme, for some reason, the change is not reflected in the buttons that has already got that theme applied.

Apart from that, I am very satisfied with the quality of this program.
Great Job!

Not Too Hot

This version would not entice me to purchase a version because it would not function. Every time I finished designing a menu and clicked OK, it created an error message and would not build the menu.

Good Software - Happy User

I found this one of the easiest to use of the three I tried - not only that, it blended very well for insertion into FrontPage - two clicks and I can insert the created menu on any new page.

I was looking for an easy way to create and insert a menu that didn't clutter up my webpages - this software resolved that issue very much to my liking.

Very useful piece of software. Thanks very much!

Good MLDDM builder

This builder is a quite good one. Easy to use, you can have as many levels as you need, and easy to install on your webpage.
Maybe a bit confusing in the beginning to understand that the headmenus on your page is the first submenu in the program, but after you understand that it's ok.
Too bad you couldn't save background pictures in your default template, but hey, you can't get everything on a free version. I do recommend it, it made my job so much easier than to sit in all codes and do it myself.

This was a mind saver!!!

I've been trying to find a place to create a menu for my school's website. I finally found one that will work and I could use. I spent more than a week searching and trying out menus. Thank you very much. I didn't have any money to spend so I had to find a free one.

Only one problem I have is that after putting it in our website, I can't see it in FrontPage. It is only visible after I publish it to the site. If you care to see what I created, go to

Any suggestions to that problem? Thanks again!!

Really good program, lots of useful features

I was surprised with all the features included in the free version of Sothink DHTML Menu Builder -- being able to add icons to menu items, having a lot of CSS-like control over menu attributes (i.e. border, background images, alignment, etc.). Other programs on the web will cost you and provide fewer features. But I will say that I would have preferred cross-browser uniformity in the free version over some of the other advanced features -- the fact is that the cursor doesn't change in Firefox or Opera when hovering over a link. Also, modifying the code of the menu will be confusing for beginners, given the comment-style code that it generates. All in all, I highly recommend this to every one.
